Artist selection policy

We are keen to support local and developing artists and are happy to look at your work. Our policy is to act as agents for local artists therefore we do not buy individual pieces. Please read the following which details how to submit your work.

Selection policy

Artists wishing to exhibit at The Market Street Gallery are requested to submit photographs of their work for consideration. The photographs can be sent by email if preferred and a minimum of 5 images are required.

Confirmation of media, size of image, retail price and number of works available should be included with your submission.

A biography/cv should also be submitted with the photographs.

The art work will then be considered for exhibition.

If the work is short listed we will need to see original works before confirming they have been accepted.

The framing of the work will need to meet the galleries standards and assistance with reframing can be discussed.

  • The Gallery does not charge to hang artists work
  • Exhibitions will last a maximum of two weeks
  • Exhibitors should ensure their works are covered by an insurance policy
