Jean Haines ASWA
Exhibition of original watercolours and workshops
5-15 March 2010
Winner of the Anthony J. Lester Art Critic Award and the SAA Professional Artist of the Year - Abstract and Experimental Painting Award

Emotion is easily observed in Jean Haines' paintings which are created in a loose style incorporating fine brushwork, a technique Jean gained whilst living in Asia. Use of colour, knowlede of pigment interaction and a sheer passion for the medium allows Jean the ability to capture the essence of a subject in a way that is intiriguing to the viewer inviting them to enjoy what they don't see as much as what they do in her work.
A collection of Jeans' latest paintings can be seen at The Market Street Gallery between 5 and 15 March and
there will also be a rare opportunity to attend an exclusive workshop focusing on watercolour techniques with the artist. Limited places available.
